The journey that I’ve been on for the past 20 years has taken me down some interesting paths that have afforded me the opportunity to experience leadership from a variety of angles and perspectives. I have tried to absorb as much as I could contain while implementing key insights into my own leadership style that is continually developing. I have served in the public and private sectors giving me a broader view of how leaders interact with followers and the impact of their decisions. Whether living in a third world country, small rural town in Kansas, or the 4th largest city in the nation, I am learning what it means to find contentment in the place God has planted me for the season.
I am currently leading a revolutionary movement to mobilize communities to love their neighbors through acts of compassion, and it’s been a new learning environment for me to capture what it means to be a leader in an arena surrounded by the homeless, working poor, community leaders, parishioners, and a host of volunteers connected to New Hope on the Last Frontier. My hope is to share what I’ve picked up over the years in the area of leadership, and grow through interactive dialog with other leaders like you.
