Jamie Joy

Jamie Read Bio PhotoI am a homemaker; a stay-at-home wife and mother who adores her job. The financial struggles of being a single-income family don’t begin to compare to the daily joys of serving my family. I am blessed.

Although I am young and can’t attribute all the years to this leadership battle, my father taught me to live out his life verse: Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. 1 Timothy 4:12 I am a byproduct of a family who lead by example and taught me to do the same. So instead of being sure of myself, I strive daily to seek the Lord and allow Him to guide my steps. My husband and I choose to lead our family unified, by example and on purpose.

Currently, I am a member of New Life Church of the Nazarene in Mount Vernon, Ohio. I actively serve with our children’s department and lead the Wednesday night LIVE! programming for about fifty kids ranging from preschool to fifth grade. My husband and I also lead a small group of adults in a weekly Bible study designed to refocus our hearts, minds and attitudes on Jesus.

My desire is to be a Proverbs 31 woman. A woman who is strong, capable and determined; one whose integrity and character far outshine any physical beauty she possesses. Simply put; I long to attract others to my Savior through my love, service and my voice.
